The show is set up according to a highly original and extensive layout with information-rich explanatory panels, and traces the evolution of architectural design during the twentieth century, with its increasing focus on the ambitious construction typology of the skyscraper. Together with fifty of the world’s most recently built skyscrapers or whose construction is still in progress, the exhibition also features the Velasca Tower and the Pirelli Skyscraper. The critical essays are by Cecilia Bolognesi, Vittorio Fagone and Pier Carlo Santini. The catalogue includes the technical factsheets with the plans and colour photographs of the skyscrapers and the models.
