Profile:
As Maria Teresa Filieri explains, this “journey in the art from Lucca” is conceived for making the collection’s art works dialogue with other 50 works, kept in the same area or in other museums, which often have the same origins.
The collection includes more than 80 works mostly paintings but also sculptures, silverware, majolica and bibliographic rarities. The main feature of this collection (which includes works from the XIV to the XX century) is its intimate link with the figurative culture of Lucca: all the art works are made by artists from Lucca or by foreign artists who operated in this area.
More than 40 works are compared with the art works of the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio and are analysed in this guide through scientific schedules.
