On the 160th anniversary of the birth of the Maestro, a wide exhibition to discover the relation between Giacomo Puccini and the artists of his time and to look into the influence of Puccini and his aesthetics on the arts in Italy between the end of the nineteenth and the first decades of the twentieth century. A study rich in suggestions, points of consideration and masterpieces. Realized with the set-up by the famous stage designer Margherita Palli, “In hopes and dreams”. Giacomo Puccini and visual arts presents about 120 works of artists such as Boldini, Previati, Chini, Nomellini, Cremona, Michetti, Conconi, Troubetzkoy, Cappiello and many others. Paintings and sculptures inspired by Puccini and the characters of his operas, portraits of the Maestro, works of art by the artists by him loved and collected, old photos, objects, posters and memorabilia to enter the world of the composer and discover his passion for drawing and caricature and his attention in decorating his own homes.
